This post will show you everything that you need to know about the new system of using national identification number for jamb.
What is The Meaning of NIN (National Identification number)
OK, I know you are new to this and may not what the national identification number is or means.
But I will surely explain, I don’t publish any post on this site without covering the topic to an understandable one.
NIN is a 10 digit number which is very important in Nigeria.
It is used for many things and mostly required during the registration of most things in Nigeria.
Now that jamb has partnered with NIMC, the use of NIN in jamb will start in 2020.
In 2019, there was nothing like this.
They have good reasons for introduce this system into the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
Why Did Jamb Make NIN Compulsory For All Candidates
There are two reasons of which I know and am going to explain each of them.
1. Examination Malpractice : This will help the board to curb the act of examination malpractice in cbt centers that engage this bad act.
It will also prevent double registration or in a case which someone writes the exam for a candidate. Pretty Cool and good.
2: To Make Things More Better & Easier For The Board & Its Candidates: Like seriously, the integration of the use of NIN in jamb will make things more easier and better for both the board and its candidates.
For example, candidates will not need face capturing during 2020 jamb registration and beyond, as their picture is already integrated with NIMC and also simultaneously with jamb.
Can I Register for Jamb Without NIN
No, no and no, it is not possible for you to proceed with the jamb 2020 registration without having your national identification number at hand.
